| ACLU notes: | In Jan 2002, an Air Force photo developer developed pictures depicting hooded individuals with hands and feet bound. The film belonged to Ssgt. [redacted], a member of 137th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron. The Ssgt. admitted to taking the photos on 01/27/2001 and 01/03/2002. There are three photos of concern showing 1) a hooded detainee with For Him magazine in his lap, feet shackled and hands bound behind back 2) The same detainee with another "suggestive" magazine in his lap 3) A male military member showing an open For Him magazine to a hooded detainee. No formal investigation was completed and no disciplinary action was taken. Although there are several crew members depicted in photo, they were not questioned. Release of all photos is denied in full. |
